Jim Eagleman the naturalist that works at the Brown County State Park has some real good information on the deer population and control.  He will be here Monday October 27, 2008 late morning with a biologist to check the area.  We set the public meeting for October 28, 2008 at 7:00 pm in the CSLOA Clubhouse.  DNR Naturalist Jim Eagleman and a biologist from the Department of Natural Resources will be there along with Conservation Officer Jason Lee.  They should be able to answer any questions that come up form the public.  .

I've added a new tab under "Information" called "Document Archive".  I plan on this being a place where you can view or download CSCD Board Minutes, Newsletters, Commission Reports or other documents concerning conservancy business.  If I can talk the various commissions into emailing me their minutes I'll add them to the archive.  I've added a few already.

At the August CSCD Board meeting, the board passed the following resolutions:

Undeveloped lots may only have a single plane dock not to exceed 100 square feet in size.  Also, no structures may be constructed on an undeveloped lot (Sheds, fences, walls, etc.)

They also passed a resolution stating:  No additional geothermal systems (open or closed) will be allowed or approved, if they will be placed in the lakes or would result in any kind of discharge into the lakes.

The CSCD board voted on the new fees for boat stickers for 2008/2009.  Power boats, pontoons, and grandfathered personal  watercraft will be $70, fishing boats $35, and nonpowered watercraft will be $7.50.  These stickers are good for two years.  Note: Even if you're "renewing" your decals from previous years you still need to bring in an original title or current registration from the state.  You need to bring in these documents every time you renew.  Also, remember CSCD only accepts cash or check, they can not accept credit/debit cards.

I've added a new feature to the website.  "What Do You Think".  It's set up as a forum that will allow you to respond to questions or post your own questions.  I've added some questions to get things started.  The current board is interested in your ideas for the future of CSCD.  Please use this forum to make your ideas known.    To post replies to the questions in the CSCD newsletter, CLICK HERE.  

I've added the current information on the "Septic Inspection Program" to the website.  It's under the tab for "Rules & Regulations".  Those selected for mandatory inspection of their septic system will be notified in January.  Selection for the groupings was done randomly by computer.
